Job Summary – Manager, Operations BP&A (QVC Japan, Makuhari)

This role acts as both a strategic business partner and financial controller for QVC Japan’s Operations group. The manager will lead financial planning, reporting, and analysis across departments such as Customer Logistics, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Crews, and Customer Service & Experience (call-center). The position involves close collaboration with global teams, ownership of budgeting and forecasting processes, and contribution to organizational development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnering (40%)
    • Provide financial guidance to support divisional strategies
    • Conduct financial modeling and advisory services
    • Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
    • Validate financial assumptions for strategic decisions
  • Reporting & Analysis (15%)
    • Create performance reports and actionable analytics
    • Conduct variance analysis and budget reviews
    • Collaborate to improve financial reporting processes
  • Forecasting & Budgeting (30%)
    • Lead monthly forecasts and annual budget planning
    • Support automation and enhancement of planning tools
  • Team Development (15%)
    • Guide indirect reports (financial analysts)
    • Identify skill-building and process improvement opportunities

🎓 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (preferred)
  • 10+ years in corporate finance, business analysis, or consulting
  • 3–5 years of team management experience (preferred)
  • Experience in supply chain or plant finance is a plus

  • Employment Type: Full-time Regular Employee (Probation period- 6 months, no change in working conditions during this period)
  • Compensation:
  • Incentive bonus (paid once a year depending on business & individual performance), Merit increase (depending on business & individual performance), Overtime allowance as per the company regulations, Commutation allowance.
  • Working Conditions : Hybrid Working Model (Mix of Office-based working & Remote working)
  • Flextime System (Staring time 5am~closing time 10pm), No core hours.
  • The prescribed working hours for one (1) month shall be as follows: Scheduled working hours per month: Working days of the month x 8 hours
  • Work from home policy
  • Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, National holidays and company-designated holidays, Annual paid leave (15 paid leaves in the first year of joining), Birthday leave, Condolence leave
