About Organization:

Department Overview

Within Rakuten Symphony, the Quality Assurance Office department is working as a central organization inside the Internet Service Business Unit (ISBU) with the different product development team to secure CPaaS, Rakuten Maritime, NEO, Send Anywhere and Rakuten Drive applications and services meet our Customer's needs, expectations, and managing any Quality risks.

We are looking for a young, motivated, and talented QA Engineer to join Rakuten CPaaS (Communication Platform as a Service) team.
CPaaS is a cloud-based solution that enhances business communication channels through a variety of flexible and easily customizable features. It enables companies to build stronger customer engagement and streamline their communication strategies.

Position Details

【Job Duties】
・Design comprehensive test cases ensuring robust product validation
・Develop and maintain both manual and automated test suites across various features
・Collaborate closely with developers and cross-functional teams to align on testing strategies, priorities, and quality standards
・Monitor, manage, and optimize automated test pipelines for efficiency and reliability
・Investigate issues, analyze functional specifications in detail, and recommend improvements to enhance the overall customer experience
・Perform effective debugging and issue analysis through detailed log review and investigation.
・Demonstrate a strong desire to continuously improve technical skills in both frontend and backend test automation.

Work Environment

Rakuten CPaaS Section is composed of members located in Tokyo, UK, and India.
You will be place in the Tokyo office and you will work with people from different countries & cultures.

Minimum Qualifications:
・Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar field
・At least 3 years work experience as QA engineer with both manual and automation expertise
・Expertise in one or more programming languages, preferably Java or Kotlin programming language
・Experience in Web automation using Selenium
・Experience in API automation using any frameworks
・Experience in pipeline creation, good understanding of CI/CD process and tools like Argo, Jenkins, CircleCI etc.
・Experience in using VCS like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket
・English proficiency (written and verbal communication)

Preferred Qualifications:
・Experience in performance testing.
・Experience in Kubernetes.
・Exposure in Python language.
