Duties

Incumbent reports to the Official Lodging Facilities and Maintenance Manager and works directly with Marine Corps Official Lodging Manager, Official Lodging Regional Managers, Installation Lodging Program Managers, and property level maintenance staff across the entire Marine Corps Hospitality Services (MCHS) portfolio to support the management of the facility infrastructure, equipment, and mechanical systems within their Region.

The incumbent assists in development, implementation, and oversight of enterprise preventative maintenance program for all facilities in their Region to include compliance with the enterprise Computer Maintenance Management System Standard Operating procedures.  Assists in the development and implementation of standard daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists and defines property walk through standards. Assists in the development, implementation and oversight of safety training programs for maintenance staff to deliver to Facility Operations staff. Assists in the development of capital budgets and lifecycle replacement schedules for systems and furnishings, fixtures & equipment (FF&E), as well as operational budgets for programs. Advises on facility and maintenance issues related to electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, plumbing, painting and basic carpentry that fit best industry practices. Consults on capital projects and is the subject matter expert on facilities and maintenance.

May serve as the Contracting Officer's representative (COR) for enterprise and/or regional contracts in support of the Official Lodging Program

Plans, organizes work, and manages internal maintenance procedures and resources to ensure maximum productivity and economies. Prepares internal office financial plans and related records and reports. Monitors programs on a regular basis, and in conjunction with the Official Lodging Facilities, Official Lodging Facilities and Maintenance Manager and Official Lodging Regional Managers will initiate corrective action to ensure safe, efficient, and well-maintained facilities. Develops long range plans in conjunction with internal operating directives. Ensures compliance with fire, safety, and other environmental issues and programs.

Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.

Travels to complete work assignments and conduct or attend conferences and meetings. May work a fluctuating work schedule to complete work assignments outside of the typical workweek and work hours.

This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 40 lbs. may be required. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A minimum of five (5) years of experience in facilities maintenance or operations, preferably in the hospitality industry, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in maintenance trades including electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, plumbing, carpentry, and painting. HVAC Journeyman preferred  

Working knowledge and experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage, schedule, and analyze maintenance tasks and data. Strong preventive maintenance planning, building systems lifecycle management, and applicable safety/environmental regulations. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills; ability to manage teams across multiple locations.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with maintenance reporting tools preferred.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Valid driver's license required. Knowledge of NAF policies and procedures preferred. Ability to communicate orally and in writing

Must be available for regular regional travel.
