The Field Application Specialist is responsible for connecting and collaborating with the regional internal organization to provide advanced technical/application support and to create value for the customer to competitively differentiate our products and achieve profitable growth for Pall. The FAS must have the ability to work independently with complex, integrated projects across functional teams, but also own sales projects and initiatives to develop & support Funnel Growth. Lead as an ambassador, strategist, and negotiator to secure wins aligned with Energy+ strategy including seeding new markets such as decarbonization.

This position is part of the APAC North, Energy+ and will be located in Shinjuku Office.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Relationships: Establish and maintain customer relationships, acting as a trusted technical advisor and representative of the company. Establish and maintain strong relationships with prospects at various stages of process development. Provide consultative guidance on complex business challenges and requirements.
• Leadership: Provide technical thought leadership within the organization and actively contribute to develop and maintain strategies and opportunities via initiatives and specific projects. Maintain a high level of industry expertise and represent the company as a recognized technical leader.
• Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional departments to address intricate customer requirements and provide comprehensive solutions. Foster cooperation and collaboration within the team and assist in building organizational and people capabilities with an emphasis on team strength and accountability. 
• Technical Excellence: Provide advanced technical support to customers, addressing complex inquiries and concerns with precision and expertise. Act as a trusted technical advisor, offering innovative & best techno-economical solutions that meet client needs and specifications. Lead and / or contribute to new product or market field trials, customer lunch & learns, white paper development, webinars, and tradeshow involvements. Ensure prompt and effective responses to customer queries. 
• Customer Prospecting: Collaborate with the sales team to actively prospect and qualify opportunities for potential customers. Utilize various methods, including direct approaches such as phone calls and face-to-face meetings, as well as indirect methods like networking, to identify new leads.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor's w/minimum 10 years’ or PhD w/ 7 years experience in system /process /chemical engineering or similar.
• Ability to translate technical advantages into business benefits in English. 
• Product & Industry knowledge in E-chemical and speciality chemical.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel – 20-40% travel, overnight, within territory or locations

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Product & Industry knowledge in EV and battery
• Advanced understanding of filtration and pre-separation.

【求めるスキル・知識・ご経験】

• 学士号を有し、システム/プロセス/化学工学または類似分野で最低10年の経験、または博士号を有し7年の経験がある事。
• 日本語、英語で技術的な優位点をビジネス上のメリットとして説明できる事。
• 一般化学/半導体向け先端化学製品、およびそれらの業界知識。
• 毎週顧客対応の出張に1～2日程度対応できる方

• EV（電気自動車）およびバッテリー分野における製品および業界知識
• フィルターろ過の前処理、本処理に関する高度な知識。

• リーダーシップ：組織内で技術的な思想的リーダーシップを提供し、イニシアチブや特定のプロジェクトを通じて戦略と機会を開発し維持します。また、業界動向に精通して常に高い専門性を保ち、技術的なリーダーシップを発揮し、業界内で認知された存在として会社を代表する。

• 協力：複雑な顧客要求に対応し、包括的なソリューションを提供するために、クロスファンクショナルな部門とシームレスに協力します。チーム内で協力と協力を促進し、チームの強さと責任に重点を置いて組織と人材の能力を構築するのを支援します。

• 技術的卓越性：顧客に高度な技術サポートを提供し、複雑な問い合わせや懸念に対して正確かつ専門的に対応します。信頼できる技術アドバイザーとして、顧客のニーズと仕様に合った革新的で最良の技術経済的ソリューションを提供します。新製品や市場のフィールドトライアル、顧客向けランチ＆ラーニング、ホワイトペーパーの開発、ウェビナー、展示会への関与をリードまたは貢献します。顧客の問い合わせに迅速かつ効果的に対応します。

•新規顧客の発掘：営業チームと連携し、潜在顧客に対する積極的なアプローチと機会の見極めを行います。電話や対面での訪問といった直接的な手法に加え、ネットワーキングなどの間接的な手法も活用し、新たなリード（見込み顧客）を特定します。
